Jason Wood is a Founding Partner on the Nine Dean team. Mr. Wood has over 25 years of experience scaling sophisticated organizations across private equity, asset management, and institutional finance.

Before joining Nine Dean, Mr. Wood was a Managing Director with the Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund. Previously, he was a Managing Director at AIG, where he built and led the firm's Direct Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Equity Co-investment business, deploying over $1.2B alongside leading global sponsors. He has invested throughout the corporate lifecycle, from company formation and growth equity through control buyouts and corporate restructurings, as well as across the capital structure, including junior and senior credit, structured instruments, preferred and common equity. The capital deployed at AIG was invested on behalf of permanent capital-oriented insurance company balance sheets, mirroring Nine Dean's perpetual ownership model.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wood served as a Vice President at Parish Capital Advisors, investing as a limited partner in, and directly alongside, diverse and emerging managers, and as an investment banking Associate with Merrill Lynch & Co. Mr. Wood earned a BBA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from NYU Stern, where he was a Consortium Fellow.

Beyond his professional work, Mr. Wood is an active participant in cultural and philanthropic communities, having recently served as a board member with the Journey Venture Studio and the University of Michigan Alumni Board of Governors. He resides in New York City with his partner, Natasha, and their three daughters.
