Rebecca Allen is an entrepreneur, investor and Founding Partner on the Nine Dean team. Prior to Nine Dean, Ms. Allen sold her namesake footwear business in September of 2024 to Plainview Shoes, a strategic acquirer. Launched in 2018, Rebecca Allen Footwear makes timeless styles with a focus on comfort. Ms. Allen raised institutional capital to launch the consumer brand, developed an omnichannel business model, and led sales initiatives to scale retail relationships with Nordstrom, Macy's, and Amazon Fashion. The brand has been featured in Oprah's Favorite Things 2023, Forbes, Fortune, and CNBC, among other media outlets, and has been worn by incredible women all over the world.

As an entrepreneur, Ms. Allen also conceived, launched, and scaled Helix Hair Labs, a healthy hair consumer brand that makes socially viral hair tools and accessories, for which she also raised institutional capital. Before starting her first two businesses, she was an executive at Goldman Sachs, managing assets for private clients and non-profit organizations. ​

Throughout her career, Ms. Allen has endeavored to support women working in all types of capacities. She is involved with Bottomless Closet, an organization that provides women in New York City with the tools and resources they need to enter or re-enter the workforce and achieve success. In 2022, Bottomless Closet recognized her at their annual luncheon with an award of distinction. Ms. Allen completed her MBA at Columbia Business School and earned her BA from Williams College. She lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband and two children.
